honestly who really cares. Im not directing that all at u Matt either. This is just a dead arguemnt. Who cares bout Jaykwon. Is he really gonna stop u from sellin beats and makin it? I dont think so. The way i look at it, as corny as these cats are-Jaykwon, lil jon. etc, they will never have any impact on my life or career. They just some cats doin they own thing in there own circles. there circle happens to be the top 40, mass market. It seems like cats have to be on a team, like i roll wiht the underground cause of this, or i love the commerical cause of that. Like what u like dislike what u dont, but dont get mad at others for disagreeing and not seeing eye to eye. All these posts have gotten ridiculoiuily over blown. how we gonna have a 19 page thread bout Kanye West? Is his ethics really that important? This thread has gone 3 diff ways. Each one gettin more retarded then the first.

Yo Matt-

you are right, J-Kwon, Chingy and all that teenager BS, rockin' the plain white t-shirt sh!t, it's just for the kids and MTV. Thoose kids make me sick. J-Kwon's production? talk about no creativity! Keepin' it Gangsta? na, keeping it commercial. These kids will be dropped after there next LP anyway. When's that new Gang Starr LP dropping anyone?

I'm just going to add my last comments here and them I'm done with this one, I swear. What I'm trying to get across is that you can listen to music as a producer, pick stuff out of it that you think is cool, or you can listen as a fan. And as a fan you're more interested in the association, the image etc. As a producer you can listen to lame stuff and still learn something from it.

With Tipsy, I liked the idea of a rapper with no status referencing other popular tracks in his lyrics. I hadn't heard anyone do it to that extent before. I think it contributed to that song being a hit. I think I could use that idea sometime in the future.

I can't spell this out any simpler. So I'm done. See y'all in another thread.

yall bitcihin bout how if someone wants a snare dre used, they should just sample off the OG record he did, better yet why dont you biotches stop bein lazy and go cop the same drums that were used and play the shiot ur self

MattMatiksPG you are nothing but an overweight surburbian white boy who thinks he knows everything :x . You talk about TrackBoyz stealin the drums off Grindin, how do you know they didnt just find them the same place the Neps did?

http://www.soundclick.com/util/streamM3 ... 48294&q=Hi

this is "a love song" off of your soundclick page, tubby

All you did was put some drums over a sample and loop the first second over and over again for an intro/lead w/e you wanna call it, seems like you were more interested into fukkin up that bowl off buffalo/chicken wings than you were respecting/continueing the hip-hop culture
Now what relation does this have to the situation about trackboyz using the same drums for Tipsy?Well, if you go cop "Xscape-Just Kickin it remix(kick off your shoes and relax your feet party on down to the xscape beat) you'll find all jermaine did was loop a sample throw some drums on it (but ill give that **** a thumbs up because 15 years ago, sampling technology wasnt like it is today), and even more interesting , he uses the SAME intro/lead u used in "A Love Song". in 1992/1993, I assume you were a snotty nosed 8 year old white boy watchin power rangers and rockin nut huggin sz 10 pants and playing soccer/tennis in the backyard of ur surburbian home.I dont know if youve ever heard that song in particularly, but who knows if Trackboyz did, highly probable, but not impossible.I could sit up here and claim u bit jermaines idea(not only do u do the same things to the sample in terms of adding and chopping, but in both samples their is a nice guitar, and bass guitar) like ur ignorant ass is doing ALL THE TIME.Fall back from the computer and lose some weight so when you bend down yo u can finally see your Penis/Dick/balls/nuts

When did the term "producer" ever get to being known as making a beat.P Diddy doesnt make beats(He has other people make what he and the artist have in their minds) but he's a great producer.Chucky Thompson(guy who did Dead Wrong) will even tell you, that before he met Puff he was just an average musician, but Puff made him a Producer :D

Who gives a fukkk if All Jermaine did on the Anthony Hamilton song was loop jayzs song and use just blazes snare. It was most likely Anthony Hamiltons idea.Being a producer is not MAKKKKIGN HOT BEATS, but its making a song that goes within the boundaries of the Artistical vision of the Artist.

And how is Lil Jon KILLING HIP-HOP?IF ANYTHING ID SAY A WHITE BOY LIKE YOURSELF IS KILLING HIP-HOP.Lil Jon is bring Hip-hop back to the essence it was, having fun(as someone stated like sugarhill, no one hates on them and calls dem fake)a few years ago hip-hop was all about violence and killling people, ,and with Lil Jon doing the mainstream records he's doing now hes taking people from killing and beating(n o homo) each othert to dancin and ha vin sex  and havin fun.

And all of his beats are MASTERPIECES compared to that madlib trash yall listen 2.Most of his shit has intricate bridges, leads, intros. And his shit is 100% original.Hip-Hop started at parties(the clubs of the 70s) and it will stay there.Kool Herc mos def wasnt kickin knowledge  .

If anythign id say "kickin knowledge rappers bitchin bout how im porr and ish" are killing hip-hop more than doiing any good, all black music was created for the sole purpose of HAVIN FUN not teaching go to schoool if you wanna do that ish  . There aint ntohin rong with a social themed record, Im all against kickin knowledge in music but Nas-I can was pretty hot...but yall like Nas fake and is h :o

and its a fact many composers back hundreds of years ago took reel to reel recordings and chopped them up to make there own sh it, and hundreds of years ago eveyrthiung was"classical" so your philosophy about taking something from ur own genre to make somethijng within the whole genre is wack.

and about that kanye ***** yall act like all hedo is loop a sample and put drums over it  check out
paybak-my angels
keysha cole-i changed my mind
brandy-Talk about our love.

my angels is heavily chopped, you can tell form the begining of the song cause of the snares, and also during the verse its chopped nicely, hard to desscirbe unless youve heard it, it has some spanish guitars 2 nice black backup singers

i changed my mind-all the drums , and melodies(piano, harmonica, strings jsut to name a few) are original , theres just a vocal sample (which is filitereed heavily if u listen to the record it was smapled from( which say I dont know , i dont lvoe ur no more)also if u listen closely the time signature switches a couple time

Talk about our love, the only thing sampled in the verses are the bassline, and the piano leads(only 3 seconds), eveyrthing else is original(drums, violins, piano chords, guitar) the hook is sampled, but he choppd that up to, if u listen to the OG record.

Go and talk Ish bouut Kanye with ur gritty NYC ish while he makes 90,000 a track and gets 7 points for each track on an albumm. If the album sells(the one he did 1 track on) good say it did 50 Cent Get rich or die trying, he makes 1 million in TWO WEEKKS

BIOTCH ASS SURBUIBIAN E THUG WHITE BOYS!!!!!!!!!!

yo u are about the dumbest ignorant cat i think i read on these forums for a min. first off reel to reel came out in 1930 i think? the **** phonograph came out in like 1880.

second of all lil jon is makin masterpieces with his triton??????? u must be smokin glass d*cks.all little jon does is make simple melodies and a hook and out pops a beat. that is hella weak. and he talk bout killin and murkin cats too with the cats featured in his beats. if u gonna pick fights and instigate cats at least get ur god damn facts straight. Ur the reason hip hop is dying. Dumb as* retards runnin they *ocksuckers just to beef with cats. I was really takin back by ur immaturity and stupididy. You just made ur self look like a fu**in jer**off instead of the e-toughguy roll u were goin for. Man there are mad clowns with mpcs. this forum gets dumber by the minute i think
