yeah, i guess techno wise that sounds cool. You will end up mangling it somehow anyways, But With hiphop i think it would be differant? im not sure....what you all think?


I LOOK at myself like a "classical musician," thats why i like to sample classical music; because a pianist who can play a mozart-or any major composition, is regarded very highly; even though they did not necessarily compose the piece they play. As a samplerist, i look at it the same way, just because i originally didnt compose the music, i made it sound good, flipped it, and made it my own. ITS allmost doing more than just a pure musician would do. Alot of people hate on hiphop because of sampling, but whats the differance?

they can't conceptualize what pains people that make sample based music go through sometimes to flip it and just think that all hip-hop beats are is drum sounds straight out the box and a un-fukked with sample str8 off a record and that's it. And in some cases they are right. But for most of us this is not how its done and it goes alot deeper- my opinion fuk them

it really pisses me off too. Because they are the same people that like P DIddy. Or think KAnye west is the most original!!!! (not knocin on them)

ANyways, I dont ever try to explain how i sample anything, or even go into that, because some of my friends just dont understand how it works. I swear to god someday im gonna kill them, its so frustrating. And they knick me even though I flip it really well.

Oh and thier girlfriends are even worse....the other day one of my friends was like I love that new britney spears song "toxic" im like that has like all samples in it...and they didnt believe me, it really just goes to show how niaeve and stupid people are.

yeah, i noticed that too.....but i dont mind because average dudes are less likely to have em.

Around here, there are alot of "punk rockers" who buy em, and use them for themes for thier bands and such. They also find some wierd funky shiat and turn them out, into some type of punk song, kind of cool though. ANd its more like hiphop then some would think.

educational and how to record sometimes have some usable samples on em and soundtrack are good too like it was said before b/c most people don't remember sound tracks from 20 + years ago.
