maschine is defo the new mpc

true most cats on this board got an mpc cos of the like of just blaze, pete rock premo and the fact thats its industry standard.

same with pro tools and logic most cats use it cos its industry standard.

i realise the at mpc's and logic and the like are dope but u felt comfortable buying cos u knew producers that came before u and that were better then u had cosigned it.

but now they are cosigning maschine and ur using that very same reason as something to down it or to say they are being paid to promote.

yes there is something about having just records and an mp standalone however likely ur gonna track it into ur mpc and ur computer is likely in the same room as ur home studio so the shit is a mute point. just get a longer usb cable

Music composition and production isn't nearly as straightforward as heating up hotpockets. I think it's more fair to say that it's like having an oven and a microwave in the same kitchen.

you can make production as simple or as complex as u like, u mofos aint recording an orchestra in ur house most of ur beats consist of:

drums,
bass, main sound,
background sound,
bridge or break sound
chorus sound

thats its it u listen to a dre track u aint hearing more then 16 or 24 sounds at anyone time

mashine and mpc are both sampling drum maschines that double as work stations so the feature sets overlap and the way of composing music on them is very similar.

if u had say and asr-10 or triton with ur mpc thats more understandable as a contrast that could be likened to having as microwave and an oven cos its a different way of working when ur messing with a keyboard.

but again alot of nerds like to overcomplicate and turn things into a mathematical equation or a science project which is fine whatever u want to do but wont necessarily improve the outcome of ur music.

How do i use my MASCHINE to heat up hot-pockets?

I don't have a PC in my music place lost interrest in the maschine as I realized it is NOT standalone-able.

with a cdj it is and same with mp3's with serato u can get shit done

but yeah if u aint got access to a pc or laptop then mpc is it

maschne is defo NOT the new mpc because I bought my mpc for tight midi sequencing of all my hardware as well as the sampling.
NI have enough advertising on youtube, why do we have it here as well? No need to ask; they want mpc users to move to maschine.

hahaha nice analogy K_roc..shit is very much on point.

@jpeg...maschine and mpc are totally different animals that yield similar results...however feel and experience isnt the same or equal. I enjoy both pieces and dont feel the need to choose to own one when I can allow myself to have both and use whichever I feel like at any given moment.

why is there so many different variations of instrumetns when they all do the same thing as the last...why does one own 10 pair of shoes when one pair is enough...why was there so many variations of mpc when virtually they all do the same thing...why was bpm released considering we've had guru and maschine prior

One reason why I moved to the MPC was that it does not need a computer... at all.. why go back??

But if you're going to sit infront of a Computer anyway, why not just buy a feckin midi controller?? (MPK perhaps??? There's loads of midi/USB controllers out there..)

This is what I always thought, again I've never used the Maschine, i'm more than happy with my MPC. But if I wanted VST's and loops and "scenes" I'd just use Ableton with a controller.
