Yo, El called me up and gave me the lowdown on his technique.
He's right, it's easier explained in a convo than on a thread, becuase you will have questions. The oscilating earhair thing, I dunno, I'm a skeptic so I'm gonna check that out, but all I know fa sho is, El Macaco's technique works. It seems like, to do this you gotta be gentle or you may actually cause damage. But I had the noise just pop out of nowhere last night, and it was ear piercing like immediately. I bit down on a sandwich made with nice chewy bread, and bang: tinitis mixtape allstars playing in my Left earhole. I did the El technique and it went away and stayed away.
Thanks man, I hope other people get at you about this!!

Yo man, that's some jaw sh** right there, a component of my hearing issues. You should look into it possibly, maybe get a night guard for your teeth from a dentist. Anyway, good to see a supportive environment up on here. F*** them flame posts/threads!!

I have loose joints at my jaws! (sounds harder then really is) but I can pop my jaw and then I have them allstars to. just like a kind of echo of the popping joint real weird. but I can do it on commando haha.

I got something but I don't know what it is, the damn doctors just keep suscribing medicine which isnt working.I think it might have been from reaching a q-tip in my ear too far, or listeining to my music in headphones loud.Anwyays, it mostly happens when I'm excersicing, it'll be in like one ear, its like a high-pass filter sweep type thing, and all the high frequencies will disapear in my left ear, and come back like 5 minutes later, but it will happen to the other ear. Also I've had a common cold for about 6 months, I have random head-pain too , like someone stickign a needle in my head real quick then takin it out, but that only happens like twice a day :(

Dogs, I had similar symptoms. Do you have sinus problems?
I have had alregies and sinusitis for many years, unchecked,
thinking I was constantly sick. Most likely, my sinus problems
were reocurring, proliferated in no small amount by constant
smoking of els and marlboros. Needless to say, your ears are
attached to the same channels as the eyes, throat, etc. w/ sinuses wrapping in and out all of that. So, the sinusitis clogs my way-inner ear area w/ crap as well, which can trigger all sort of weird anomolies. I have minimized that with claritin, which also prevents post nasal drip. The pndrip will effectively give you sore throat and bronchial infections as well, so those pills helps both ways. When it's really on swole, I add nondrowsy sudafed, or you can take claritinD which has both. Hate do endorse pharmacueticles, but it works of you don't OD on it. Why don't I just not smoke? Sure, I could stop doing drugs, but then I'd be even more maniacle than I already am. What would I do when I'm making beats, just breathe air???

Doomdada, those ear thumps are your blood rushing through the veins in your ears. Have your bloodpressure checked, and lay off them cheeseburgers and eat a salad and some fruit everyday. Drink lots of water, nothing else counts (OJ, coffee)

Tru Pro, I'm working on it, I got a really good lead on dropping smoking, I'll let you know if it works like it feels like it's gonna.

I'd lay off the claritin, eat spicey foods, and as funny as this sounds, nasal irrigation with organic tobacco juice really clears up the sinuses and can prevent flareups, Sudafed is habit forming, which will make your body create the conditions to feed the craving. I wouldn't trust claratin, all these medications are harsh on our livers, and you only get one. Try to see a good homeopath, they can really give you better options. Cut dairy out too, that just creates much more mucus.

OK Gotta make this quick.

For your left ear, use your left hand, for your right, use your right hand.

Take your middle finger and stick it in your ear hole so you seal it well and create a vacum, so when you pull your finger away from the ear there is good suction. Then if you have nice earlobes, use your thumb to pin the earlobe to the side of your middle finger, so it's up and out of the way.

Then with your index finger, slap the area behind your earlobe ( when in it's normal position) so you hear like a loud thump. For me it's right below the bone ot the skull, but somepeople hit the bone (yuk yuk) and get good results. You got to slap it with your fingert kinda hard, but well within what your finger can do.

The theory is that the oscillating ear hairs are in the vacum, and the slap excited them all and lets them come to rest, kinda reseting the oscillating one.

Not sure if this will help you guys with severe DJ ear damage, But when tinitus strikes it can take it away.

let me know if it works out for you guys, and if you tell other people, make sure you tell them you got it from me ;)

Top Class Elmacaco!! (oops, typo edit)

BTW, that heavy thumping sound you hear when banging the area behind the ear would make a killa African drum sample :D
