whereas originally i would have probably done this:

h x-x-xxxxx-x-x-
s ---x--x-x--x---
b x--------xx--x-

and it wouldn't have sounded right as a drummer wouldn't play a beat like that...

i have the same problem it sounds way too programmed..

i have the problem when trying to do a real acoustic beat- most of mine arent but now and then i want just a simple beat and found the only way to get it right was to study drum tab...

tried your tab..its a little more than the four to the floor type but i guess you were going fo the unprogrammed feel..i cna't just get the 4/4 beat seq. properly..

its a drum beat dude not a house beat, the lack of bass drums on every beat shoulda told you that

its because i dont just do house and stuff but others styles lie dnb amnd downtempo....other genres mentioned in this thread
