this how cool the mpc is, say i know nothing about making beats, but i do know the snare is on the 2 & 4, lay down my snare track on the 2 & 4, then lay bass drum down on any beat besides the 2 & 4 (ei 1 e an ta, not 2 but e an ta, 3 e an to, not 4 but e an ta) and put my hihat on any beat (ie 1 e an ta, 2 e an ta, 3 e an ta, 4 e an ta) someone could possibly put together a nice beat without knowing how. personally, I LIKE TO HAVE A CLEAR VIEW ON WHAT I AM MAKING AND NOT DEPEND ON LUCK. THE MPC CAN PRODUCE BEAT FOR SOME PEOPLE WHO DO NOT HAVE A CLUE ON BEATS. THAT IS WHY IT IS SO POPULAR (IN MY OPINION). IF YOU KNOW HOW TO PROGRAM IT, IT IS A MONSTER. SO MY POINT IS WHEN I GO SOMEWHERE I LIKE TO KNOW HOW I AM GETTING THERE. TALKING FROM EXPERIENCE I HAVE BROUGHT A LOT OF GEAR FOR NOTHING BECAUSE I DID NOT KNOW WHERE I WAS GOING MUSICAL. I ALSO BELIEVE THAT THERE ARE OTHER WHO DID THE SAME THING AND IF THEY COULD GO BACK THEY WOULD HAVE DONE MORE RESEARCH ON THERE PURCHASES. PERIOD.
>Agreed
ANOTHER QUESTION, WHY BUY ANY EQUIMENT AND DO NOT KNOW HOW TO USE IT, IT FUNCTIONS IN YOUR SETUP, CONNECTING IT ETC. IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE. NOT TO ME AT LEAST.
>No it doesnt make sense. But who cares if people waste money on this crap, its good for the economy. the multiplier effect and all that ish.
say you own you mpc for just say 4 years and another person just got theirs. do you think you may have more experience than the person who just got a mpc. WELL I HAVE HAD MINES FOR MORE THAN 10 YEARS AND MAKING ELECTRIC MUSIC FOR CLOSE TO 20 YEARS AND I AM TALKING FROM MY EXPERINCES AND SOME EXPERIENCES OF FELLOW MUSICIANS I KNOW. I AM NOT HATING OR DISSING ANYONE BECAUSE I THINK EVERYONE IN THE WORLD SHOULD MAKE MUSIC. IT IS BEAUTIFUL. IT IS BETTER THAN WAR, WORK ETC. IF I COULD HELP ONE PERSON FROM SOME OF THE MISTAKES I HAVE MADE I AM HAPPY WITH THAT.
>ok, thats allways a good thing
