The decibels.. - What level to keep it at?

When mixing/mastering, should i make sure each track channel is at 0db and never above?

or is it just the Master Volume that shouldn't be above 0db.

try to reach as close to clipping as you can without clipping and ur all good. (as long as ur recording to a digital medium) digital distortion and clipping (clipping is for analog, digi dist. is for digital) are diff. clipping, u may want parts to clip to give cool distortion efx, U NEVER want digital distortion, it sounds terrible,[/color]
