Mute Assign

I would like to be able to mute more than 2 pads with the mute assign option, is it possible?

this option is handled by pressing the open window button with the cursor on the voice over lap section. There you get the mute assign options, I only get the option to mute 2 pads off. It really seams like I should be able to mute more than 2 pads...??....??...?

Just assign more pads check my post in the sticky at the top of this fourm. U got to have a sound on the pad to get it to work. You can just assign one and mute it from the mixer screen

binger, that doesn't help me. I know how to use the mute assign option, I have been using the option for some time now. I was just wondering why I am only allowed to mute two pads off with one. You know what I mean.
I select the pad that does the muting, then I select the pads IT mutes, and I only have the option to mute TWO pads. It really seams like I should be able to mute more than 2 pads. I am thinking it could be the operating system I am using. if any one uses this option on the mpc and can mute more than 2 pads let me know.

COOL MAN! Why do you need more than 2? You plan on muting everything? i dont think its your OS homes.

Sometimes it's just a limitation of gear.

Well, I don't really have any future plans of muting all my pads binger. But you know, when I take a break and chop it into four peices it would just be real conveinent if I had the ability to mute the other three pads rather than just two. Its not that I need more than two. So far I have had no trouble chopping the breaks manually. But recently I have been toying with this option and have had good outcomes from using it. I know it could be benificial to explore the path of mute assigning.

I don't know.... for some reason I thought the different operating systems offered different options. I remeber working on my budies mpc and it had a few different options than mine. for instance, his would program at a 1/4 time sig, when mine will only go as low as 1/8. It seems like such and easy task for akai to accomplish, It is just computer code....

Am I wrong about the different operating systems??
