What gear do you have now. If you dont have a recorder, its a pain in the ass to sample your cuts. You are right you will only need one table. For needles you can't go wrong with the ortofon concords, or the shure m-447s. Slip mats are up to you man! I got a few pairs, and my favorite are the red technics ones that I had for like 8 years. They are pretty slick and hold the record nice so you can juggle, mix, cut, and have a lot of control over your vinyl. Some cut heads swear by butta rugz or sewer slimes. It is a personal preference man.
