Velocity settings for DRUM SOUNDS

sup yall
when yall do your drums, i am assuming lots of cats dont us the full level button. however, i find the kick usually has to be at full level other than ghost kicks n stuff. same goes with the snare. hats i feel the velocity switches but for the most part, i feel things should be pretty loud.....how do yall do it?

When you are using velocity its basically a way to create accents in your rythm...Where you use louder or softer sounds really all comes down to that particular beat or rythm your making.

no full level is 99% of the time off....even with hits lifted and cut from other loops....some cat recently said if your recycling beats keep the full vel on....i say nay...thats the easiest way to suck out the dyynamics of your beat....
