cubase sx 2.1

hello peoplez,
i got a question regarding cubase. i used 1.06 for a while and everything was good, now i upgraded to 2.1 and i cant seem to figure out how to record audio. on the old cubase you just choose the input channel and make sure your level is right but i cant do it on 2.1. does anyone know how to record more than one track at a time in 2.1? i have a delta 1010lt soundcard and im using channels 5,6,7,8 to record. thanks for the help.

im not in front of my computer that i use my nuendo system on but i think you need to go to vst connections and set up each track that you want to use on you sound card. Kind of sucks. i know what you mean when you say on the old one it was all ready to go once loaded up. but I think the button might be f10.

You should only have to set it up once. This was the same in SX 1.0, but it was under "devices" or something. Now it's called vst connections. (although i don't know why, couse it's got nothing to do with vst's it just manages your in and outputs)
This stuff is also in the pdf manual and help files.

thanks for the help. i just couldnt find where to select the input channel for the track. i got it to work though. 1 final question, i see the levels coming in on the "thing" with the play button and record and all that stuff on it ( i forget the name) but not on the individual armed tracks, is this something new on 2.1 because on the old one i could see the levels on each track that was armed before i recorded.

You can still see it on the mixer, or in the track inspector right?.
I know what you mean, there was a little meter on each channel before, maybe they've taken that out, i'm at work now so i can't check. But it was too small to check the level anyway, and most ASIOsoundcards have their own mixers with input levels now anyway so i can see why they took this away.
