question bout best looping software-

whats up everyone?
i was just wondering what everyone thinks is the best software to loop different samples. i have been using acid but i don't know if that is really the best. anyway just curious.

Cool Edit Pro/Adobe Audition is dope for using looped samples.

I second the motion on Recycle.... I'll co-sign to that sh*t anyday... You get perfectly chopped loops and the tempo listed right on the screen which you can then alter... So you can speed up or slow down the loops as you need to... It's got nice FX built-in (Although I don't use them much) and once u got the loop sittin right, You can export the individual slices as Wav files or export the entire Loop as one sample... Definitely peep Recycle.

Recycle is definitely the best for just looping and slicing samples, but he said he was using Acid, so I assumed he meant what is the best software for sequencing loops. For sequencing and arranging various loops, CEP/Audition is dope. I've never used Acid though, but I thought it was similar, if not better than CEP/Audition (as far as using loops, not sample editing).

acid is cool, but loopin is a little harder and u have to make new tracks for loops. There is no dedicated wave editor. I think u need a wave editor like soundforge or cool edit pro to make the loops then brng them into Acid. Acid is cool once u have all ur lloops. The best bang for the buck is Recycle 2.1 with Reason Adapted. Get the Acid update to 4f and then Rewire Reason Adapted with the Rex files u chopped in Recycle to Acid as the host. Then u can just use acid as the seq.

I agree with binger Recycle 2.1 is the best bang for the buck for editing loops. I might assume you are using Windows; if not and you got a Mac go for Ableton Live for a loop sequencer for outweighs Acid plus you can use a editor together and you can use third party plugins with your loops also. Best part is that you can use it live in a dj set with your turntables wih a pc card. Also Peak 4 is a nice Wave Editor too and it records to CD.

don't get caught up on so much the best as rather acquiring the skills that are universal with all, but with that said I prefer Ableton Live 3 locked up on rewire
