Bass tones from Soundforge

Okay, how can I create bass tones on Soundforge? Also what is the best method of playing bass tones, on the MPC or on a midi keyboard (which I think "would" be the best method, but I just want some opinions).

Having played some bass in my time, I prefer the MPC pads. Playing bass on a keyboard seems more awkward to me than using the pads. Although obviously you have access to only 16 notes at a time with the MPC.

I don't know if you can create sine wav's in Sound Forge, but there should be some dedicated sine wav programs on the net-- search...
