since the microkorg can only run one sound at a time and i want more then one, i resample that sound, trim it and assign it to a pad and then i can change a sound on the microkorg without affecting the other right?

my problem is when i try to resample it (from the mainouts), the mp only picks up the internal sounds(drums, samples) and not the sounds from the microkorg. or my mo phatt. i have everything running into the same mixer so i dont know what im doing wrong. any help is appreciated.

oh and another thing. when i try to record into the mp using the vocoder, it doesnt seem to pick up the vocoder.

Are you sampling in stereo or mono, you need to check as Vocoders sometimes take input of mic left and keyboard input source right!

I dont understand the question.

Im not sure you have your terminology right.

Can you describe the audio and MIDI connections between the MPC, MicroKorg and mixer...?

heres how its set up...

midi out korg to midi in mp
midi in korg to midi out mp
audio out korg to input of mixer
main outs on mpc to inputs on mixer

i got all my stuff running into my mixer, and then the mixer to the mbox.

my bad if i was confusing. all im trying to know is how to resample what i played from the microkorg, so i can assign what i resampled to a pad, so then i could change sounds on the microkorg without affecting the first know what im sayin? my prblem is when i try to resample the mainouts all it picks up is internal sounds. not sounds from modules, or the microkorg. so whats going wrong here?

You should NOT be RESAMPLING in the MPC if it's coming from an external source... IE: mixer or keyboard.

Record-- the inputs. lol..

You keep saying 'Resample' when you actually mean 'Sample'.

You want to sample the MicroKorg sounds, sampling is covered in great detail in the manual.

Resampling is when you take an existing sample from the MPC alter it somehow and resample it complete with the changes.

Whatever you want to SAMPLE must be fed to the MPC 'Record Inputs', either directly or via a mixer.

On the MPC, the sampling settings/ screens are found using the 'RECORD' button.

Suggestions were given to you, twice, experiment and run with them and see if they work.

No one will hold your hand, how can you record if you have nothing going to inputs?

Did I miss something here, what model mpc are we talking about, you say re-sample.
Would that be 1k or 2500, recording the main outs??

found out that i cant do what i was trying to do. ill be more clear here.

i record something into the sequence from the korg. if were to change sounds in the korg on a new track, the sound i recorded on the first would change to. what i wanted to do is be able to change sounds on a new track without it affecting the first one know what im sayin?

my solution was i was just going to have to sample in something, and do the 16 levels.
