There's a fella on here called Saint Joe who's produced some good videos about maschine.

Im looking to switch but the more I read the less interested I get. You cant sequence external midi with it so its just gonna be a **** to get that all setup I know it... Also each program only has 16 pads and no banks so thats another thing...I think Im stickin with my 3000\5000 combo... ALOT more money but it works...

had it for good few months now, dont use their software yet just as a controller for live....

I think as of current or next upcoming update you will be able to sequence external midi since the actual unit has midi out.

Not sure where you read that there is no banks, but the maschine has 8 banks. blue buttons labeled ABCDEFGH

ok but what if you wanted to have a keyboard to control the internal sounds of maschine. Like each pad corresponds to the notes on the keyboard in order. Can you do that and also be able to play midi from vsts and racks with the keyboard?

If you wanted to use a Motif rack and vsts would you not be able to use both at the same time bc of the 1 midi output or can you somehow route the midi channel internally for the vst.?

did you watch the video?

it seems it will do what you want.

I don't know if machine will host vsti's though.

you could always host the VSTi's in something else, and use rewire or iac-bus to get them communicating.

I am looking to trade my mpc60 for maschine.

Ok but If I have a seperate sound card I still need to midi that soundcard to maschine and then I wouldnt be able to midi the motif rack to maschine bc there is only 1 midi output...
