Sure they can. They can be triggered by anything that sends MIDI messages (including an MPC, of course).

you'd have to set up the mpc as a device in reason preferences. Make sure Reason recognizes there is a device and its recieving midi.........then you can record midi notes inot reason. However if your are recording in reason AND also hit Record/play on the mpc and bang out patterns it's gonna record the SAME midi in two locations... (The cpu i.e. inside reason's sequencer, and also the MPC track)


decide what you prefer.........

1.) The cadence of the mpc timing........ (make IT the master)
2.) Record and edit midi sequences on cpu (reason) master


if its number two........you should've just got a midi controller the 1000 might of been overkill
