Cubase VST/32 setting tempo, metronome & count in?

I do all my sequencing in my MPC and then dump it into Cubase. I've never messed with the tempo*, metronome & count-in on the transport bar but would like to have tips or info how to go around setting it up. Proper settings in this area are supposed to make it easier to do further editing at at later stage.

If your cubase is set as master and mpc as slave, set the tempo and the timing sign in cubase. The metronome just gives you a click when playing or recording. And last thing, but you should know, the left locator must be set to 1.0.0.0 and the right locator at the end of your song in the mpc ( if you record your whole track in song mod). I hope it helps !

This is the way I normally record from MPC to Cubase:

1)Sync MPC(Master) with Cubase(Slave) using MTC. The only setting I change on Cubase is:

Tempo on transport bar.

Turn quantise to off.

2)I have 4 inputs in my sound card/8 outs on MPC; so I track each sound/instrument/sample to its own channel for the duration of the song(Usually 4-5 minutes which takes up a lot of PC memory, processing power & time).

3) Then I repeat step 2 again until all my samples/sounds/instruments are all on Cubase. Then start messing with dynamics, eq and fx. I just dump all my tracks in Cubase for mixdown.

This method works but I end up having waves out of place when trying to edit on cubase.

What I'm trying to accomplish is to record 1 MPC sequence onto Cubase and then copy the sequence to the lenth of song in the arragement window. The problem is getting the MPC and Cubase to start at exactly at the same time.
