Guitar with MPC Question

I was wondering how I can hook up my guitar to my mpc 1000. Thanks!

1/cable from guitar to record-in on mpc via either a mixer or DI box.

2/place mic in front of amp. plug mic into preamp/mixer then into record-in on the mpc.

also some guitar amps have audio out jack so u can just hook up a cable from that to your record in
