newbie question stereo or mono

how to find out if a sample is stereo or mono

are you talking about a sample loaded into your sampler?
or a wav file on your computer?

if it's a wav file, load it into something like audacity and it'll tell you if it's steeo. if you mean something in a sampler, it depends on the sampler. on my mpc1000, if I go to TRIM mode I can see if it's a stereo sample because the View field lets me choose LEFT or RIGHT
