contolling external synth using the mpc 4000

hey mpc users.. I just bought my mpc4000 a couple of weeks ago and am totally stoked by the sequencer... its so tight... I am using a emu pk6, a supernova and an e6400 ultra. I love the emu filters so keep certain sounds on the e-mu and want to controll them from the mpc.

I wanted to record controllers like filter sweeps using the q-link faders
but can't get it set up correctly... eg.... the pk6 midi A conrolling filter cutoff is controller 21.
