Help!! I sampled some drums from my Motif ES6 into my MPC2000XL and created a drum pattern on one track. Sometimes I'll create a bit with the snare and kick at the same time for the feel. I've done this many times befort with no problem. This time when I copied the track to go in and delete the kick from track and the snare from the other, my MPC would not allow me to open up in the step edit mode to delete the sounds from the tracks. What do I need to do to be able to get into the step edit mode to "purge" my tracks?
Thanks in advance for the help.

What happens when you hit "Step"? It just stays on the Main Screen?

I agree, this would be a lot easier. Go to the track that has the hits you want to erase> hit the Erase button> hit the pad with the sample you want to erase> hit do it

Aster, that is exactly what happens. How can I fix it?

CoooCooo1, you taught me something new. As simple as that may have been, I hadn't done it before, thanks. I'm still interested in knowing if it is possible to do it another way because I still can't step edit the tracks that I have separated.
Thanks.
