Hello,

I know that Cool Edit Pro 2.0 is now known under the name of Adobe Audition. Nevertheless, I would have a question about the former cool edit pro.

Do anyone know what is the time stretch tool algorithm used by cool edit 2.0?

The help files does not say anything about it and even the support at adobe does not seem to know either.

A link to a web page or a book title would be very helpfull.

Thank you :D

any chance you could be more specific about your question? like... are you asking what time stretch is? are you asking how time stretch works? or what? I mean I dont know much about cool edit but that question seems a big vague.

Actually, I want to know how the Cool Edit pro time stretch tool mechanism work: what operation does the tool do to the audio file. Per exemple, do the stretch tool does a time domain harmonic scaling or something else?

Thank you!
