Ok here it is. I am trying to record my audio from my MPC 5000 into Propellerhead's Record software. I can hear everything when I press play on my MPC but when I add a track all I can hear is a loud hissing soud. Here is a list of my gear
MPC 5000, Macbook Pro with 8 GB of Ram and a 2.66 Ghz processor, Axiom 25 key midi keyboard, Reason4, Record,Pro Tools LE 8, and a Digidesign MBox2. Now I know people are saying "why don't I use Pro Tools?" Good Question! The MBox2 comes with Pro Tools LE 7 (which does not work with a Macbook Pro which runs Snow leopard). Avid offers a free upgrade to Pro Tools LE 8 (which i did) but It still freezes up on me so I decided to give Propellerheads Record software a try because it supposedly works well with Reason. I have my stereo outs on my MPC going into the line (TRS) inputs 1&2 on my MBox2. As soon as I add an audio track I get this super annoying hiss. I am stuck right now. I can make beats no problem using Reason and the MPC. I just can't record anything. Somebody please help me out. I am losing it here
