Waldorf Blofeld or Access Virus B/C ?

Hi all,

I am planning to buy a hw synth for use with my mpc but I still can't decide which one tu buy...
Waldorf Blofeld or Access Virus B/C? - I like the sound of the Blofeld but it has only 20 voices so its not very useable when using more layers. The Virus has 32 (the C one) and has more knobs for direct work with the sound but it sounds a far different than the Blofeld does...
I am doing electronic music like progressive, breakebeat etc. - could anyone suggest me which one to choose? - which one has bigger sonic possibilities and from which one is better for live as the main performance synth?

ive never used a blofeld but used a virus c, its a bit of a pain to programme, the presets with it are horrible, but obviously creating your own is definitely better. for the price i dont think its that great, id rather splash the money on an analog synth, thats limited but sounds really nice, on the upside theres loads of resources online for help with the virus, and like all synths im sure if ya delve deep enough u can do anything but i aint keen on the sound of it, seems good for electro/trance stuff.

ive checked out some vids of the blofeld and it seems a really nice synth, programming wise i dont know if its difficult with all those menus, but it seems a really nice synth for getting those kind of synthetic rhodes sounds and nice deep pads, between the two id go with the blofeld its cheaper and what ive heard it sounds pretty nice, i think its meant to be similar to there older wavetable synths like the microwave xt etc, only a little colder sounding and those synths by waldorf have a pretty good reputation.

I have both (Virus B and Blofeld).
Blofeld sounds a little less organic, more cold electronic so it depends on what you're after...although both units overlap.
If you want synthesized copy of 'real' instruments (let's say horns, flute etc) I believe Virus might be a better choice.
Virus has much more knobs which is a great plus...it's also bigger, Blofeld is very small so easy to put in a bag.

Take intoaccount that Blofeld has no Midi Out (only via USB) meaning that you can not record knob movements ! Of course you can define a Q-link to the controller you want to record and record it like that.

Apart from that there is the financial aspect...
