mobb deep piano

hey , i am looking for sample our soundfont "mobb deep" type ( shook ones , survivcal of the fittest ) can somneone tell me where i can find 1 , has anyone been able to sample it ?

it was a soul sample to begin with.

Those sound more like guitars to me than pianos...

i have a couple of the records they used to sample on the infamous, i know les mcann was sampled i forgot for which track but i find a lot of good pianos on symphony type records.. creepy type ish, real underground.

yeah all samples.....listen real close to some of thier tracks and you can hear the vinyl hiss.

Get an old chopin record, or somethin of that nature....even a jazz with piano in it, then look for a small little riff and chop it....or sample a piano roll, then slow it down i.e. detune it. and it will sound like a dark riff.

for some reason, if you where to replicate those type of beats without sampling, it will be extremely hard to get them that same type of feel...but if you sample and do it, they are actually really easy type of beats. at least IMO

but yeah, for those beats they dont have to be a soul record, just a classical record from the dollar bin

survival of the fittest sounds like a pitched down piano riff. thats re-triggerin.

shook ones sounds like some harpsicord riff, sliced and diced.

its defenetly got a very unsure pitch feeling, shaolin'esk.
