I don't know a ton about keyboards and hooking up MIDI to the MPC, so can anyone tell me if this keyboard:[ http://yamaha.com/yamahavgn/CDA/ContentDetail/ModelSeriesDetail/0,6373,CNTID%253D25440%2526CTID%253D205000,00.html
would be of any benefit to me.

A friend of mine is selling this keyboard, but before I buy it, I wanted to get some feedback from people who know what's up first.

Thanks in advance...

I think it's very much a keyboard aimed at people who've never made music before.
it looks like a toy, and i can't imagine the sounds being any good.

For less than $35, i'd buy it.

What up DJ_Evs,
I guess when it comes to the keyboard if ur using it as a midi controller its probably straight. Meaning it will serve its purpose. Im sure the sounds arent that hot, but u might mess around and find a sound on there that nobody thought to mess with. Depending on the price it can't hurt right.

Haha.. I use to actually have that same exact keyboard. I bought it from best buy for 149. The sounds in there sucks big time, but for 35 I would use it strictly to trigger midi signals. Get it for 35. Make sure you turn the PC mode on.
