What are the top home studio digital mixers?? Does anyone here use one? I'll take any advice. Thanks!

Top models?
Don't really know or worry about that.
I have a Yamaha 01v.
Nice unit. Works beautifully with my set-up.
MPC, Pro Tools(Digi001) Korg T3 and more.

The newest verision of the 01v is the 01v/96.
Higher sampling resolution.
Higher bit count, more DSP features and better preamps.
Good investment.

Peace.

I use an AKAI dps24, w/ an mpc 4k, they work really nice 2gether and the dps has adat as standard so when I can come up with the cash for the adat board for the 4k I can throw my hosa snake out the window.
But yeah, the dps is the sht.
Enjoy>pez

^^^do you record direct to your dps or do you just use it as a digital mixer cuz im kinda looking at one of these at the moment but im really gonna be using it in conjunction with a pc. im want to have the multitracker as a bckup if my pc shits on me at anytime and use the dps as standalone mixer is this possible

By boywithpez007 Tue Jul 06, 2004 2:56 am
Yeah I record direct to dps, all hardware baby yeah....
Get urself an adat input on yer pc and you can do 8 track transfers from dps, but if your not going to use the recording its a fkn expensive mixer!!!

u shld probably go for the yamaha 01v

I dont think the dps is really what your looking for, everything you say is possible BUT.... for all hardware setup with an mpc4k, its gold. Using it with a pc sort of defeats the purpose in my mind.

Your call
Pez.
