Looks similar but sounds a lot worse.

I still think we're 10 years away (at least) from having what we samplists would love - namely, splitting a 2 track mix back into constituent useable stems.

I don't want that to happen at all, sure it would make it easier, but I think it will take the skill out of it and only flood the scene with more overnight "producers"

Damn Ark, you've been spit'n some true knowledge around these boards lately. I can't mess with you with what you just mentioned.

Yeah of course in the wrong hands this won't help the cause with the intent on using it for constructive purposes. I think it will only gain notoriety as a "flip it quickly" type of program for folks that don't know music.

yeah thats what i'm thinking...for the longest time I wish this software would be invented or whatever, but then I realized that digging, filtering, and chopping are the point to the craft, Sampling is sampling, creating a good song from that is how you use the above tools to manipulate those sounds as your own. But thats just my opinion, if you want just raw sounds, loops and riffs, learn the keys, a guitar or just go by loop packs from a website.

I like this! Just think of what you can do! Anyone that knows about making music the old way (programming, chopping and editing) will take this to a whole notha level!
I'll be the first one to have this software when it drops! I don't get excited over a hardware/software, but this is a tool that no other piece of gear can emulate; not like some upgraded module with new samples! Its definitely on a next level!

In principle it's the best thing since sliced bread... until you hear it in action.

Where these developers are going wrong (in my opinion) is in how they are attempting to extract everything from a single audio source.

What is needed is next level convolution and remodelling technology to create convincing multi-tracks... oh, and bags of cash to invest in the technology!

The notion of sampling (as we know it) may even become redundant before they manage to nail this technology.
