sample library tagging software

yo, I use the mpc and no software to make my beats (except reaper to mix), anyways, I was looking for something to tag and organize my 5000+ (and growing) songs I keep on my external harddrive for sampling (similar to how you can on maschine).

I plan on tagging each song like: dark piano, low strings, open loop. that way i can browse my library if i need a particular type of instrument/sample for a track im working on. I figure that i can over time go through my library and add descriptive tags, even rank the quality of the samples, key of song, or sample specific things like "low end theory" (can make a filter bassliine out of it),"interlude", etc. For drums i could describe my gazzilion drum hits (overtime of course) and it might help searching easier.

anyways, I did a little research and came up with these applicatioins to help me organize my library of sounds:

so far i like both, but im voting for taggedfrog because its free. but im hoping that maybe there is some sound editing software that does this that i can add to my workflow. any suggestions or info would be apprecieted

Do any of you do this with your sample libraries? or is there some other software you are using that does this (like guru, reason,maschine, or whatever)?

also, it would be dope if there was a mpc pgm editor with this built in!

thats cool. its probably a good idea to use as less taggs as possible and maybe organise sample library by genre, style, lenghth or something. So effectively you use two sorting methods and its kinda easier, otherwise you will have a years work tAgging everything

no doubt. I havent figured out exactly the tags im going to use, but definately dont want too many, and i think consistency is definately key.

im thinking genre, and main instrument, then a flag like "break" or "loop" if there is an easy break or loop to sample.

I still use cds and tv, that and my sample folder is kinda still neat - folder for voice, folder for breaks, folder for hits. My problem is naming songs, do a few new ideas a week so I gotta be more creative than just "newbreakbeat"
