italo disco is my guilty pleasure, i love the rawness of the synths and drum machines, the simplicity of the arrangements and layers, and the lyrics are usually nonsense.

it's the true precursor to chicago house, and ultimately modern electronic dance music. you can still hear it's influence in the charts today.

i reckon the dance scene in italy about '83 was absolutely insane!

Some of Italo disco songs even appear on Ultimate Breaks & Beats compilation. If you think Italo disco is wack, you are missing out.

I didn't know that Kano (of "I'm Ready" fame) was a Italian group!
By the way, can Change ("Searching" and "The Glow Of Love" fame) be considered as a Italo Disco group?
