Who's into cassette/tape sampling?

A friend of mine called me, she has 100+ records, 400+ cds and some tapes... definitively I'm going to keep the records and CDs, but I do not have a cassette player and do not want to put it in the garbage so if you don't mind to pay the shipping cost all of them are yours, most of them are latin music (some from Spain) 80% are original, the rest are copies and I found 2 new tapes that still sealed...

If I where you I would keep them. It would cost you almost nothing to pick up a tapedeck.

+1 here in the US tape decks are easy to find......thrift stores all day long.

Brother...you have GOLD in your possession! Last semester, I went to my colleges library to check out some research material and stumbled across a small, beat up, cart. The sign on the cart read, "FOR SALE - CHEAP TAPES AND CD'S"

So when I actually LOOKED into the cart, there were hundreds of tapes of ALL KINDS OF MUSIC. From classical, spanish opera and even great historical speeches, i spent about $6. I probably bought 3/4 of the entire tape selection and to think, they were pricing the tapes at 2-10 cents a piece!

What a day that was...so now, I am still trying to find a good tape to USB converter. Or i could just plug a tape deck directly to my MPC500 and get rockin'!

hellz yeah... keep it bro. I still got my 6 cassette tape deck by Pioneer in the closet from years ago. one day I'm going to record my basket full of cassette tapes to Wav files and save them on my HD. Got old Chicago House mixes from '86, old NY and NJ hip hop mixes from 'the 90's and old Radio One Essential mixes from '94- '98 from England I want to preserve.

If I were you I would keep them, but as i'm desperately after latin/spanish music (living in london theres a whole lot more old carribbean stuff around, and i'm half ecuadorian, so i'm after any good spanish/ or pan-south american music)

if you could find out postage cost to London, i'd gladly take them off you, but then again if i were you i'd probably just get a cassette deck and use them yourself
