Not using main outs?

So I have this audio interface with 8 TRS inputs and I have 8 outs on my MPC. Now with main outs I have 10 total. Tracking main outs is bad idea for me, because you can hear other tracks in the back. (is this normal btw? it's mpc4k)
Anybody knows something about this?
I can't think of anything bad if I won't use them, but maybe there is a reason why I should.
Making templates on both machines would make it pretty comfortable.

I have read that the main outs sound better than the 8 outs, but I only have the main outs, so I can't compare the two. But I have never heard any other part in the background of the main outs while tracking, but I mute all the other parts.

Personally, I use the main outs just when I need to do a rough mix or play live in a cramped situation.

If I have the choice, I put the effort into using the 8-outs every time. Cleaner signal, less clutter, and way more control outside the mpc, where mixing is a pain.

i use the main outs on my 2500 for monitoring and my individual outs for tracking. my audio interface has 8 ins, so this is perfect. the main outs are connected to my monitor controller (mackie big knob).

that´s a perfect setup for me.

as for the bleed, i had the same issue with my 2500. the solution was to set the output gain inside the other menu to 0 db (before ist was at -6 or -12 db, not quite sure).

On my 2kxl, there is no way to hear whats going on in the trim screen without headphones or the main outs (that I can figure out, lmao)....so I use spdif for my mains with 4 channels of indiv outs running into my digi 003 for tracking.

3 of the individual outs I use to route samples to my Moog and my SP303.
