The patching environment looks a bit like Jeskola Buzz, but the automation display is pretty novel.

Towards the end he creates an entire track from a monophonic source...running through many fx chains, true, but damn impressive.

Even if the interface aint your thing, no denying the next level automation skills.

Pretty **** amazing.

Anyone else using this? Became an "early adopter" recently. Pretty rudimentary for sampling and missing a few things with the pre beta release. But it's been a blast none the less.

Im loving how easy it is to make patches with timbre modulation.

prolly the coolest looking music software I've ever seen, hands down.
the 3d visualizations are freakin crazy.

I might try it out if he makes a mac version or something. but I don't do much in software now.


Reminds me of a tracker I used to use all the time, called sunvox. This is like that on steroids and LSD.

Mac version coming with full release, yes similiar looking to sunvox. But the sequencer blows away sunvoxs extremely crappy implementation of sequencing. This whole program is about constant modulation. The visual part is great for organizing huge instruments and what not, but the amazing feature for me is the sequencer.

It's a little bare bones right now, but its pre beta so you can't really complain. As simple as it looks the only really thing I'm having trouble with is the not so great sampler module.

I could definitely see myself getting all "emptysea" on this software as it improves.

Eh, it's really just personal preference in an interface. I, for example, would prefer a tracker-style implementation than a piano-roll type. You can still do all the same things, note sequencing, automation of any module's parameter, etc.. It just looks different, and might not be as intuitive to some, with the hex-numbers-based modulation instead of visual curves.

growing up on trackers, i much prefer this interface to pianorolls. you can see all your params right there on the line

I'm willing to trade the hyper organization of tracking for something more expressive like this. I dont know about you guys but drawing in automation for a 512 step long pattern in a tracking based enviorment is not fun. I prefer seeing waveforms and what not visually, but I hated how automation was implemented in daws for a number of reasons.

haha yea but in buzz i just highlight from start to finish then hit ctrl-r or ctrl-i

way faster than drawing for me

Yeah interpolate is really sweet, also in new buzz I like the Ctrl - click to draw in a value. And the super awesome Ctrl-G which switches that parameter from hex decimal to graphical view.
