Goodbye MPC =(

So its official I switched to Reaper. This program really does it for me. Very easy to use. Just bought a brand new computer so it works flawless for me. No more tracking beats!!! Once I sell my 4000 Im going to buy the MPD32 and use Reaper for now on. I just love being able to move sounds with my mouse after I record them and put them in the spots where they sound the best. Just so much more freedom.

Yeah I just couldnt fight it anymore. Software has definitely surpassed hardware. Akai probably isnt even going to make MPCs anymore. Everything they make now is controllers. And people will say the "swing" and "sound" but I can get Reaper swinging and sounding identical to my MPC (except the 3000). It was a no brainer for me

I like to work in the dark with just the lights of my machines on. I like to think I'm dreaming instead of working and the sounds come to life so I could never get down with a screen, if I did, I'll have to turn on the lights LOL!

Well ship that 4000 over this way! I have a home for it right next to my 3000!

If you need some kind of pad controller and can stretch to a bit more cash you should check out Maschine. It's a versatile little controller and the pad sensitivity kicks MPCs to the curb IMO.

People love to hate it round here, but if you're working within a DAW it takes a lot of beating. Drag and drop of midi/audio directly into an active track is a real time saver.

This is the classic tale of someone who rushed out there, bought an MPC4000 and couldn't make it work.

Im sure everyone in the 4000 forum will be glad you fell off so quickly...with all those shit threads you posted. Lol
