Dumping Tracks?

Can someone give the A to Z steps of dumping audio tracks into the computer after creating a beat. I'm kind of confused on if I format the song inside my gear and dump each track individually for whatever the song length is (this will take forever) or do I record in a loops. Please give a young'n the run down.

There are more than 1 way to do this..........
First you have to know the max your system can do, what can it handle......
Are you a ib-m208p user or not?
What type of interface do you have installed on your computer for transfering purposes?

No I'm not and I have a M-Audio Moble Pre USB soundcard.

First, you need to know how many inputs or actual audio tracks your hardware audio interface can throughput to the computer. Some interfaces are 8 channel, some 4 or even stereo. Once, you have that, you need to know how to setup the necessary channels for recoding in your software.
Then, you need to sync your MPC and the computer's sequencer via the midi cables. I use my MPC3000 w/ Pro Tools and I use Midi Beat Clock. After that it's just assigning the proper channels and recording how ever many passe you need to.
