Good Cheap, Keyboard Sampler

I have sampled a bunch of nasty bass sounds varying from the original 808 to Moog and so fourth. It doesnt really feel natural punching in the bass on the pads..

I feel the keys are much easier to work with when constructing melodies.
I've looked at the EPS and ASR's but I would like to know if there are any others(etc...). So what keyboard sampler would you guys suggest for me. Requirements are that it is under $500 and can take .wav files.

maybe a s2000 or s3000xl or the s5000. but u need a controller for em, get a midiman radium and a scsi card for your pc and run mesa with the akai s2000 or 3000xl and u can import ur waves right to it.

oh the s2ks go for like 150 to 200 on ebay and the 3000xl is like 300

don't forget old emus rack samplers ( e64 / eIV / e 6400 ) .really easy to use multitimbral and the best filters you can think of ( think Uk oldschool drum and bass )

EMU E IV K is a 76 key sampler. Dope filters I think 64 megabyte max ram . Large screen. Can be found pretty cheap too. Good Luck

how does the e32i compare to the e6400? both the same filters wize?

that reminds...I was rummaging in my friends attic and I found an OLD OLD OLD Casio Ctk - 500. It is soooooooooo bad. It only has headphones output and the two different sounds are Orchestra Strings and Electrical piano.

what kind of sampling capabilities does it have?

it seems reeeally basic

ensoniq eps 16+. hooked up to your computer for direct sampling, will need a scsi card. and zip drive.

Roland W30, good and cheap, has nice filters. You'll want to sequence it on your mpc cause the sequencer is glitchy. I heard Eric Sermon used to use it... I think it has 8 outs standard... it was the main competitor of the EPS16 back in the day. A roland DJ70mkII is similar, but probably not as good... let me know if you find any of those.

for the esi 32 i'm not sure fot the filters .The whole E samplers (not esi ) share the same operating system , that means that i upgraded mine ( e 64 ) , an old 94 sampler with the 3.0 version that gave me 21 different filters by voice ( including the infamous z plane ) .
that's a thing akai should think about , doing operating system upgrade ( i need a f####in multimode filter on my 2k !!!!!!!!)

there isn't any on Ebay right now. Im going to cash converters today to check out some gear, Ill definetly be on the look out for these

roland dj 70 MKII nice keyboard, goes for under 500 check ebay
