How to stretch one sample so that it can externally be playe

SO I'm recently understanding the art of midi connections (I told myself I wouldn't do anything externally for a year, which I'm glad I did). But now that I have connected to a keyboard, I'm wondering how I can say, record a C from an instruments, and then create a program that has each pad be one half step up so that when I play it on the keyboard, it's essentially playing all the notes.

If I am not mistaken, on the MPC, you'd take that C, put it on every pad, and pitch them, successively, up. (.5) = semitone (1) = whole note.

(.5)= C# (1)=D (1.5)=D# (2)=E (2.5)=F (3)=F#....etc

on the 2k classic the pitch increase of +10 is a semitone, so +120 is a full octave.

in the end it might end up sounding a little strange, what it sets up is a type of equal temperament. for a more natural sound you could just get each individual key of the keyboard you want.
