I've been trying to remake the beat for The Recipe by Kendrick Lamar. I've got the sample but I can't for the life of me figure out how he manages to loop(?) the very last chord.

In the original song there are vocals over the end of the last chord. He's obviously found a way to sustain the chord without using the bit where the vocal is, I think I can even hear the breaths where the last chop loops. I just can't get it right!!

Someone help!

This is the sample, it stars at around 20 secs

Its 2 samples.

The one you found at around 20 seconds is the first and the other starts around 40 seconds.

Its also pitched up.

It's probably easier to study the instrumental with this.

I can't hear anything other than the 2 samples and the next breath the sampled artist was about to take. The producer kept part of her breathing of the chop to create the loop, I think.

Throughout the track the producer advances the sample and progresses the track by adding some kind of effect to parts of the sample. It kind of sounds like a beat repeat at times. The sample is also reversed a few times for only a few of her words.
