Hey anyone know how to midi up the 1000 to Acid 4.0? Cables needed, settings etc...

You will need a midi interface (check midiman or Maudio as they are now called) and a pair of midi leads.

heres what you do...... take the mpc 1000 put it back in the box, take it back to the store and get a 2000xl.

you guys are all right but here goes. you have a midi out on the back of the mpc and a midi in... get a usb interface, maudio 2 in 4 outs and hook the usb to the computer. you have to install the drivers and software that comes with the interface and install OMS. then you plug the midi out from the mpc to the midi in on the interface and the midi out from the interface to the midi in on the mpc (2 midi cables needed). then you set up OMS and search for whats hooked to the interface. give the mpc a name etc in oms and save the setup... then turn the computer off and on again and when you start acid again, you should be able to select it as an instrument....
