Help with the Korg Prophecy

Recently got the Korg Prophecy its also my 1st synth, and i feel like ive bitten off more than i can chew.

But from all the glowing reviews ive read on it and the demo sounds i know it can do alot, but im finding it hard to learn to program the thing.

I have read the basic manual and followed the instructions to create the demo sound, but now what?

Ive been messing with it but i dont seem to making any usable sounds with it.

Does anyone know of a page that lists the parameters to create some good vintage keyboard/rhodes sounds or some smove sub bass?

Are the Data ROM cards still avalible?

Basically im trying to get this synth to make some early 70's ambient tones (herbie, Lonnie, miles).

i sold mine two months ago , this is a really powerfull synth but way too much hellprogramming ( well for me ) and mono ( that was my main one so it wasn' t enough ) .Anyway i used UNISYN ( motu i think ) , a programming and storing software ( windows ) , pretty good with all the parameters on one page ( plus the big thing you can tweak realtime a sequence that plays ) . There is also a soft called PROGENIE , same thing . but for the sounds that you want ( 70 's ) , stay with the basics oscillators ( square , sine , sub ) and work on the enveloppes(the one on the filter ) , lfos and detuning .
the prophecy can do anything if you spend some time .

yo pieuvre is that PROGENIE software free? and is it just a case of connecting ur pc via midi to transfer the sounds?

progenie is not freeware ( but download demo to try it ) but yes a simple midi loop and voila !
you can also try sounddiver ( emagic ) , another editor .By the way you can download whole banks from internet ( SYSEX ) , just google .
