TC quetsion and advice......

For starters do most of you guys start use 1/16? for your beats?.

So my understanding of this is the difference between 1/8, 1/16, and 1/32 is the extra notes to make your drums funky

Do many people use 1/32, if so why over 1/16?.

If I say changed the TS to 1/32 to record the little kick before the big kick to give it that swing and then changed the TS back to 1/16 would it wipe all the programed 1/32 notes?.

How do you guys go about this task?.

Think of a grid. With 1/16, there are 16 places in a bar which the note can land. With 32, it's 32 places where the note can land(more pockets), so yes you can get a "funky" swing on your drums. 1/16 for me, just works. Now if you want to do some fast southern rap hats, you will want to use 1/32. Whatever TC you record with, it will stay programmed with that TC. You can record one track with 1/16, then the next track with 1/32. it won't undo your first track's TC.
