First off,, how the hell do i do a drum roll on my 2g? I tried 16 levels of velocity and tune with the repeat, nothing seems to work for me. Do I need to set timing or some ish? I need drum rolls!!!!

Two, what is the point of looping the samples, and how do i know the crosspoint or whatever. Mad tips would help me out, no doubt.

You know where the crosspoint for a loop is when you find out how you want that sample to sound. The crosspoint could be anywhere in a given sample, it's pretty much up to you and how you want the sample to sound on a given tempo or over a given track.

Rolls, set quantize to anything but off, press play or record, hold down the timing correct key and press a pad.

(or is it Tap Tempo on the 2k?

Tap Tempo...but it does sound a little "mechanized". Some drum rolls are a combination of effects, fade ins and outs...funny thing is I know cats who can play rolls on their ASR-Xs and ms-1s
