has anyone bought any of the sample packs advertised on the forum. im just curious as to what they are like. just wanted to add to the libaray of what i allready have one wax, they seem like a good deal. but im unsure, the only ones i would steer clear of are the ones that are called things like dilla type drums etc. but there is one which is a bunch of diffrent ones for like £23. are these packs worth it ? cheers

I think they are super-underrated. They are all very well produced but the infinity are my favorites. I like that not a lot of people outside this site know about them either.

Most of the sample packs have a free set of demo sounds for you to try before you buy.
At least gives you an idea of what you would be getting. :)

I think Infinity are my favorite too.

Yeah, they are super underrated imo. They need to be known more than just inside this forum though. Sooooooo many producers can benefit from these packs.
They aren't the "samples from famous records and chopped from already famous hiphop producers chops who previously chopped them and then chopped them again" type stuff. The Tom Bongo stuff is str8 from his drums as advertised and nice as hell.
Not trying to market shit, I'm just telling you what I see for what it is. When there is a good product, people take notice. :)

they def make good sample packs, ive been meaning to buy the infinity kits since they came out, but havent yet. i will one day! in the meantime, im still rocking the free demo sounds from here, im actually cleaning out my drums, but the infinity kits demo sounds def stayed, and im going to download some of the other free packs again until i have enough extra money to actually buy a few things from here.

another thing, i also tend to stay away from "dilla" "kanye" ect ect. type kits, but the ones on mpc-samples are actually worth checking for sure. they arent ebay kits or anything like that.

****edit i forgot the karate kicks pack i have is from mpc-samples; its dope.

You want drums, by some records, punch up drum breaks, a thousand hits come up

The Infinity kits are both very cleverly made, but all that phase tweakery sort of folds my ears inside out and back to front. It's Tutor's best selling kit though, so it's irrelevant what I think.

I LOVE the first finger drumming kit. I rolled my sleeves up and honed it to exactly how I like to play, and I've killed many an enjoyable hour practicing with it since. I've also adopted Tutor's default pad layout which is much better than what I've been using for years.

Looking forward to checking out the 60s kit.

If you sign up to the MPC-forums.com monthly newsletter there is a demo kit included each month which includes free sounds from a number of the sample packs on offer.
