You only need the part of the youtube address after the "v=".
I fixed the first vid. Hit quote and you can see what I did to it.
Fix the second one.
He chopped on the first down beats when you are nodding your head, the first big kick drum beat that starts when you nod your head is a down beat.
He used 1/8 chops and 1/4 chops.
He layed down the chops on down beats as well except for 1 chop that was done 1/8 just like you would bang out a normal hhat pattern. It was the the double hit at the end.
The way he played the chops into the sequence is not complex. Kinda boring and very normal.
It's all in "what" and "where" he decided to chop that makes the difference.

so on each and every downbeat within the phrase he sampled is chopped into 1/4 or 1/8 pieces?

I never said each and every downbeat. Maybe didn't go all in a row like alot of **** up vids you see on youtube. Doesn't mean he can't skip around and chop somewhere else on a downbeat.

lol, why do you hate that style? At least it wasn't a straight loop with drums over the top.
