I was listening to this song



And started beatboxing to the intro to get a feel for the tempo, but couldn't f*ckin do it! Then I looked at the name of the song, "7/4 Shoreline" ...it's in 7/4 time! I thought I was gonna be able to make a dope beat with it :(

Songs in time signatures other than 4/4 are IDEAL to sample in my opinion... It's always gonna come out different than the original you know? You end up coming up with cool things you might not have imagined before chopping it up and messing with it.

Just try it anyways.

Too lazy to mess with it ;_; I imagine it is possible though, I remember Q-Tip saying something like the original sample for the first track on Low End Theory was in 3/4 time

i couldnt even figure out the time signature to this track when i wanted to sample it quite a few years ago.



one day i will make a beat out of it.

really, i cant ever count it, is the whole thing? there is some parts i can count, then it just drifts off into oblivion.
