Hallo everybody,
i use the Mpc Renaissance to produce my own Beats.
Now my question is how to make a dope baseline to a chopped sample
? What kind of techniques do u use?
When i sample something in most cases a base is still existing. So when I chop my sample and record the loop, the loop already has a certain kind of baseline. I think there are three ways to make a dope baseline now.
1. Take the base direkt out of the sample by using an EQ and higher the 30-120Hz.
2. Using a Hipass filter before recording the sample, record the sample in hipass mode without base. Using a lowpass filter and record the same chops on a second line.
3. Filtering the mids and highs out of the sample, record the loop and use some kind of VST.
What is your experiences for the best baseline and how to set up right?
Thanks
Moskito
