Is there any plugins that can remove parts of a sample?

Have a good bassline sample I want to use but there's a bongo in it that wrecks it, tried every effect in abelton to try and reduce it but no luck, I remember a decade ago there was a guy who created a program that could separate remove any part of a sample you that you wanted, he did it through photo shop or something like that, was there any follow up to that or is there any plug in that can help cut the frequencies of the bongo I dont want.

Damn might give that a try, it seems some one ran with the photo shop chopping audio idea, must have made a mint of it, I remember 10 years ago there was an irish guy posting the idea around hip hop forums.

Watch the video, and at about 2:20, they show you how to remove a vocal. Don't see why you couldn't remove the pesky bongo hit if this does what Roland says it does, but, I've never used this software, so hopefully if you buy this, you won't be disappointed. But, I wish I could tell you if it actually does the job.
