possible studio setups...

I am using my MPC2KXL in conjunction with a Korg Trinity, Emu Proteus 2500 and AKAI dps16 mixing console. If any, what advice is there for the most effective method of recording beats after completion...
i.e. should I do all of the sound mixing and panning, fx, etc...directly into the mpc? or should I record dry into th mixer all of the components and then do all of the tweaking from there...maybe too much for this forum but it was worth a try. Thanks in advance for any and all responses...

I would record the separate tracks into the computer then mix and edit there. I'd rather use a mouse and look at a big screen while I'm editing and mixing. If you have good plug-ins, you can use those too.

Finish your song on the mpc and record everything in your dsp. I would do all the mixing in the dsp as well, as it has faders, eq, pan,efx etc. there's a step by step guide on recording with the dsp here:
