I heard alot of his shit that sounds sampled isn't sampled at all someone was once telling me that he composes his own soul sounds alot.

If so what scales does he use? and what type of patches does he use?

I guess he'd use a lot of pizzicato strings, pianos, horns, perhaps live guitar and the like. As for scales, no idea.

Electric piano multisamples are a dime a dozen. With a bit of distortion and a hint of reverb they sound vintage too.
