Of course I want A pair of mackies! the only problem is that I cant afford them !

So I was thinking of getting a pair of Truth 2030A Behringer monitors

Are they good enough to be called truth´s?

Is the sound from the monitor Flat?

Comparing the Mackies to the Behringers is like comparing

a MPC

to the MPD(you know the midi version of the mpc pads)

As hilarious as the comparisons are.... I own a pair of truth monitors and to be quite honest they are decent.

They are not as honest as they should be- they tend to over exagerrate low end sounds (something i suspect they did to sweeten the sound for prospective customers in the store). Most of my early mixes came out bass heavy and muddy, but if you train your ear (i.e listen to music on the speakers 24/7) you should be fine.

Of course getting the mackies is the ideal solution.

I hope that helps.

Thanx so much 4 the info!
Loved youre comparison!

I bought them like yesterday 15 minutes b4 the musicstore closed
(I live in Sweden so when most of U in the Us have Day we in sweden have night) 8-10 hours difference. anyway
I got the chance to compare them to a few other budget studio monitors
There not super flat but they sounded best of the budget monitors that I try`d out (I think they were worth the money)
The design is definitly ripped from the Genelec monitors.. I think.

Oh Yeah Have A nother Q:?

Theres a room comparison switch on the back of the Truth`s

Does any of you have any good tips on in what mode would suit best if I have Em close to the wall?
